5 things I’ve liked lately

1. Urban Decay Hydromaniac Tinted Glow Hydrator

*Chef’s Kisses!* If you love a base that doesn’t feel or look heavy with medium coverage, this is it!

I wore it to lunch with a friend the other day (hey, omen!), and it gave me such great complements on my skin. It applies smoothly with fingers, looks natural in person and comes in tons of colors. I wear 51 medium.

2. “You Can Heal Your Life” audiobook by Louise Hay

I have just started listening to this book and I feel a positive change in my mindset.

One thing I’ve found particularly useful is to look at present thoughts as thoughts of the future, which means that what you think about today determines what you think of tomorrow as well. For example, if I want to feel confident about writing down opportunities tomorrow, then today, I’m going to set myself up with thoughts reminding myself that a new adventure is on the way.

It might sound weird, but it’s actually working for me.

3. This Under-Eye Concealer “Hack” (Air Quotes)

I’ve reached the point in life where I can’t cope with the condition of my under eyes, so lately I’ve been putting on under-eye concealer one last time.

Why? Well, when I do this for the last time, I feel like I can get away with less concealer, which is important for me as I can’t stand the idea of any makeup looking thick or heavy under my eyes. can.

Retouching Fluid for Life!

I do my makeup with all the usual steps – foundation, blush, lipstick, eyeshadow, the whole shebang – and then I put a little hourglass veil under my lower lash line and set it with MAC MSF powder . It really helps me realize that I don’t need to wear as much concealer as I feel.

4. 100 Grand Bars

I’ve never really understood the hype behind this Chocolate, Caramel and Krispy Rice candy bar until now!

Last week I didn’t secretly raid Connor’s Halloween stash, and I randomly picked 100 grand bars to snack on and oh em gee. It tasted SO MUCH better than the usual suspects I’m inclined towards; The Snickers, Twix, and Milky Way bars I used to love are now so dear to me, boo.

If you need a chocolaty caramel fix and like a little crunch, 100 Grand is perfection. Site Note: I went to find a bar this morning to take a picture in Halloween candy bowls, but unfortunately I ate them all, ha ha ha!

5. This Lil’ Writing Project

In a few months (February 2023), the makeup and beauty blog will be turning 15. She will officially be a teenager. I

Back in the day…

Through all the changes in my life, big and small, MBB has been a constant, which I cherish. I know that even though everything is always in flux, writing about makeup (and other things, lol), is something I can count on. I feel like now, specifically, that I need to thank the universe more for this stable aspect of my life, so thank you, thank you, thank you!
