How’s it going? I hope your lipgloss is shiny and your base is behaving (I’m wearing Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua today, so I’m ready). We’re back in the bay, and it feels like I’m re-learning my pre-Hawaii routine. Is it just me, or is the transition from vacation back to real life too troubling? The first few days are tough!
There’s a lot of stuff happening at work, so I’m dealing with that, but I just wanted to stop and say a quick cheer and hello, and mention a few things…
1. “Persuasion” on Netflix
I saw this movie based on Jane Austen’s book on a plane ride home. It stars Dakota Johnson as the main character Anne Elliot. Side note: is it just me or is Dakota’s voice always a little whisper? I find it really hard to imagine her screaming.
Whatever the case, take mixed signals and marriage proposals, and then add a dash of listening to other people’s advice rather than your heart, and you get the movie. I really enjoyed it, although I feel like the script’s shout-outs to modern slang were a bit much for me.
2. Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream
I got a sample of this intensely hydrating face cream made from Japanese purple rice as a birthday gift perk from the Sephora Beauty Insider Program. I have dry skin and it works great! A full-size 1.7-ounce jar is expensive at $69(!), but if your skin is perennial and you’re looking for a super-rich cream, You may want to try the travel-size 0.34-ounce jar, which retails for $20. Is,
3. Urban Decay Scorching Eyeliner
I have worn it as an eyeshadow on my lids as an eyeshadow recently! It is purr-fect summery bronze shade.
How are things on your end?
