Makeup and Beauty Blog Monday Poll, Vol. 735

1. Sequins or Rhinestones?

Sequins Because they are not as heavy as rhinestones, you can wear more of them. Laugh out loud!

2. Do you usually wear matte red lipstick in summers?

sure why not? I would keep the rest of the makeup very minimal with contrasting textures to balance out the formality of the matte lip. A swipe of sheer, slightly glowing base, cream blush (I’ve almost typed “cream cheese blush,” hahaha), maybe pearl highlighter and lots of mascara on the skin. Then, with the lightest touch of the pencil, fill in the brows. Hmm, maybe I’ll wear this look today!

3. How often do you wear the wig?

Rarely though I admire women who have an extensive collection and can change their look at the drop of a hat!

4. How is your hair styling skills?

It’s okay if I have enough time. If I’m feeling rushed, forget about it. We are doing funban or low pony, 100%. If I really have time to work on it, I can do more complicated things, like heat styling, braids, etc.

5. Black or white nail polish?

Please apply white opaque nail polish on short nails. It looks so refreshing and summery!

6. Are Bangs a Good Idea?

depends on. If you want your hair to fall naturally in a way that favors bangs, go for it. If you have to fight with your hair to keep bangs looking decent, give it a go. Yes, I learned this lesson the hard way.

7. Your thoughts on chunky highlights?

I wore them back in the day and love them. They were fun and fabulous, and dare I say, low key on me. I still rocked them, though! I probably won’t be doing them at this stage in the life of my hair, as I’m stuck on keeping things looking as natural as possible at the moment.

8. What’s for lunch today?

I’m not sure yet, but I’m thinking of a delicious Tomato and Cucumber Salad with Balsamic Glaze Dressing from Whole Foods Deli that contains some kind of protein. Maybe salmon or chicken? breath. I’ve always been on the lookout for ways to incorporate more protein into my diet. This is part time job.

9. What would you set your summer makeup with: Makeup setting spray or powder?

It’s difficult. I think a great layer of powder to strategically set setting foundation and concealer is a good thing as it does a better job of locking the makeup in; However, I also find that makeup setting sprays look more natural on the skin than powders when it is hot and sunny outside, as powder can clear in strong sunlight. If I had to pick just one, a makeup setting spray, I guess.
