Sunday With Tabs the Cat, makeup and beauty blog Mascot, Vol. 724

Tabs always gets a kick out of the phrase “the dog days of summer,” to which he adds, “Why don’t we have the cat days of summer?”

Good question, but I would always tell them not to think too deeply about it…

When I think of Tabs in her prime, I think of her as a summer cat. Relaxing on the warm sand on a tropical beach somewhere was one of this favorite activities. Sometimes, even when he was in the mood, he would climb on a surfboard, and he was a truly excellent cat surfer.

but I digress…

At the peak of summer, when it was at its hottest like now, tabs always found a way to look glamorous while the rest of us would be sweaty and smelly and borderline gross. Did not make any difference. No matter how hot and humid it was, he was always chic and sleek and put-together.

Like I said, she was a summer cat.

The marketing team will try to push it to say something non-sectarian and subtle, but sometimes Tabs like a hard sell. The fetus was commonly referred to as “The Annual Dog Days of Summer Celebration,” which he thought of as an olive branch for his canine cousins.

Boy, was it quite a party too! Imagine hundreds of cats and dogs barking all night. It was cray!

Rosie has been busy this summer so far. Several projects inspired by the sweltering heat, such as, she is working on a sprayable cat fur sunscreen and studying global warming and its effect on cats sleeping in windows.

In other news, she generally isn’t interested in the things I’m working on, but lately we’ve probably been talking about adding a canine member to the family, and she’s on my way to it. unusually interested in ideas.

Rosie is quite familiar with the animals of dog persuasion because, in her previous foster home, she lived with three dogs, and I am told by her foster mother that by the time Rosie’s kittens were weaned and ready to go Till then she was showing all the dogs in the house who were the owners.

I think she thinks that if she finds a dog companion, she will be able to persuade him to be her assistant.

I can see it from a mile away. I
