Sunscreen shout-out! Black Girl Sunscreen Kids SPF 50

Good morning friend! I shield myself with my new favorite sunscreen just before I sit down at my computer, Black Girl Sunscreen Kids SPF 50. If you constantly find yourself bothered by greasy, sticky, sunscreen that rubs into your skin forever and leaves a gray cast behind, you’ll need to grab a tube ASAP.

It is a chemical sunscreen with the following active substances: Avobenzone 3%, Homosalate 15% and Octisalate 5%. It does not contain parabens, fragrance, silicone or aluminum, and is cruelty free.

I picked up on the tube at Target for $9.99, so it’s pretty affordable and easy to find, though I wish the 3-ounce bottle was a little bigger.

Anyway, this is one of the most comfortable sunscreens I have worn, hands down. It is not sticky, sinks in fast and does not have an overly unpleasant sunscreen fragrance. Connor and I wore it to an outdoor festival in our town last weekend, and she didn’t protest as much as she usually does when I put sunscreen on her, LOL!

The festival was organized by the local Greek Orthodox Church, and we specifically went to see a dance performance by a children’s dance troupe. They performed the traditional dance from the island of Crete.

I loved seeing their sweet faces while they were dancing, and the details of their costumes so intricate.

I hope you had a nice long and relaxing weekend!

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

PS If you have any sunscreens that you have tried and liked recently, please let me know. I’m always on the hunt!
